Details

Digital Human Library seeks to update and redesign the homepage on their forward facing website, and enhance their Google Analytics (G4) tracking capabilities to better understand user interactions across different domains. The current setup provides basic insights, but there is a need for more detailed tracking to refine service offerings and deliver tailored information to customers. The project aims to implement new tracking code within the website backend, and then configure and optimize Google Analytics to capture comprehensive data, enabling the company to make informed decisions based on user behaviour. By improving tracking accuracy and granularity, Digital Human Library can identify trends, measure engagement, and evaluate the effectiveness of its digital resources. The updates to the forward facing website will be completed based on insights gathered from current data trends, and projected data trends using the new Analytics tracking capabilities. This project will allow learners to apply their knowledge of web development, analytics, data interpretation, and digital marketing strategies in a real-world context.

Deliverables

Analytics

The project deliverables include a report detailing the analysis of the current Google Analytics setup and proposed improvements. Additionally, learners will provide a step-by-step implementation plan for the enhanced tracking features. Learners will then implement the tracking needed within the backend of the dHL website. A testing and validation report will be submitted to ensure the new setup's accuracy. Finally, a set of recommendations for future analytics maintenance and optimization will be provided to Digital Human Library.

  • Detailed analysis report of current Google Analytics setup.
  • Implementation plan for enhanced tracking features.
  • Implementation of the plan on the dHL website
  • Testing and validation report for the new setup.
  • Recommendations for ongoing analytics optimization.

Digital Human Library Homepage

  • Analyze the current Digital Human Library homepage layout and identify areas for improvement in a brief report
  • Develop a plan to implement enhanced design, features and configurations to improve the user experience.
  • Implement the plan by making agreed upon changes to the dHL homepage
  • Test and validate the new homepage to ensure everything on the site is working properly.
  • Provide recommendations for ongoing maintenance and optimization.
