Business Management Consultants - MBA Students

Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on MBA students from University Canada West to be your student-consultants, in a project-based experience. MBA students will work on one main project over the course of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Students in this course recognize that small businesses face unique challenges that can impede productivity and result in costly turnover. In this project, teams of business students with backgrounds in entrepreneurship, human resources, and organizational behaviour will analyze your organization’s structure and management to develop strategies for improvement and continued growth.
Strategic HR Insights and Solutions
HRMT 623
This experience matches final-year MBA Graduate students specializing in HR Strategy with clients who would benefit from in depth analysis around an HR process. Students will collaborate with industry professionals over a 6-7 week period starting October 18th 2025, culminating December 6th 2025. Learners will apply their knowledge of HR metrics analysis, strategy development, and recruitment benchmarking to provide valuable insights to organizations. The focus is on aligning HR strategies with business objectives, enabling students to offer data-driven recommendations that enhance organizational effectiveness without direct implementation. Students will meet with you during the week of October 18th to align with you on what will be most impactful to your business, and to align on the work that they will undertake over the next 6-7 weeks. Students will meet with you during the week of November 1st 2025 to provide their initial findings and propose their direction/topic for the final deliverable, based on your business needs. Students will present you with a final report on the agreed upon topic, and present their findings and recommendations for future action during the week of December 6th - 12.
Marketing Management Fall 2025
MRKT 621
This semester students working in groups of 4-5 will apply their knowledge in marketing to helping your organization seize a marketing opportunity, develop a strategic marketing plan, or solve a current marketing challenge. The students will use marketing research, strategy, digital promotional tools and marketing best practices to create a report and presentation.
