As the past President of her condo board, she faced many challenges, including lawsuits, mediation, title insurance subrogated claims, declarant misbehaviour, owner challenges, dog issues, special assessments, bylaws, engineering studies, reserve fund studies, fire code violations, tendering for a roofing project and more.
Being a director required Pat to learn about condo management & governance to keep up. She has brings the experience from a 5-year stent as a CUSO cooperant working in Thailand as a Dairy Extension Officer at a Dairy Cooperative and Deputy Director of CUSO Thailand.
Living through a military coup, cooperant mishaps, defying stray dogs running in packs, navigating by motorcycle to remote villages, and rising to the challenge of learning a new language and culture well enough to interact in settings such as formal interactions with senior government officials and presenting impromptu speeches (in Thai) sounds similar to the varied demands placed on startup founders.

BoardSpace Website Redesign Project
Our company would like to explore redesigning our current website with a prototype. We are always on the lookout for innovative and fresh UI and UX ideas that will help our users. Enhanced User Management System for BoardSpace
BoardSpace, a web application designed for board management, aims to improve its user management system to enhance user experience and administrative efficiency. The current system is limited to adding users to one entity - a board or committee - at a time. This means that administrators could have to upload the same user multiple times. There is also no way to manage an organization's users from one place. This is important because users are added and removed annually, so this process needs to be easier. The goal of this project is to redesign and implement a more flexible user management system that allows for management from one location. Key to this project will be creating the sequence of steps that this improvement require and designing the user interface. The project will enable learners to apply their knowledge of user experience design. Key tasks include: - Review how the proposed improvements change the current system. - Design a prototype of the new user management features. -User testing with current customers and others -Finalizing prototype

Logo Design & Guidelines Update
Our company is looking to create a new logo to update the image of our brand and give us a fresh look. We hope to retain the “feel” of our brand and remain recognizable as we have established ourselves as a trusted company over the past several years. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Researching current marketing, design, and branding trends of our competitors and industry leaders. Developing and designing 3-4 logos for us to choose from, including standalone symbols and versions with our brand name. Developing a new framework for logo usage guidelines. Creating a social media toolkit with the chosen logo in different sizes, colors, and text variations to be used in the company’s social media and design assets. Creating potential profile and cover photos for our social media platforms using the new logo and updated logo usage guidelines.
